Chef Andre Rochat is a legend in Las Vegas, and has been since he opened his eponymous eatery Downtown about 30 years ago. This outpost, in the west hills near Summerlin, is a new endeavor that opened toward the end of 2016—Rochat’s return to prominence, if you will. With this in mind, the menu blends French bistro and American tavern expertly. For lunch the options are salad-heavy with a bunch of hamburgers; for dinner, options revolve around steak and more entrée-sized portions. The restaurant also has a popular brunch menu, complete with classic and craft cocktails that double as meals (hello, Bloody Mary). One can’t-miss item on the menu: Duck-fat fries. Another that people love: Frog Legs Provencal, with garlic, white wine, and tomato concasse. Happy Hour prices are reasonable, as well—none of the main dishes is more than $6.
